Saturday with yellow hands
The first kids painting morning of the season — sunflowers, sea, and a floor that needed a mop.
Eight children, a stack of A2 paper, and a yellow that would not stay in the pot. We mixed sea teal next to sunflower and let the two meet in the middle of the sheet.
What they made
Most pages left as a coast: a stripe of water, a stripe of sky, and a sun that was also a flower. One painter insisted on a purple boat. That boat is now on the drying line by the window.
What we learned
Big brushes first. Detail later, if there is time. The mop is part of the kit.
